"A Gaythering Storm" - I knew Gays Would Eventually Be Blamed for Changing Weather Patterns

I saw my friend Jon post this video on facebook and I just about peed my pants. Prop 8 being ruled unconstitutional is stirring a whirlwind of backlash and reactions. Thankfully to balance all the ridiculous stupid shit said by ignorant people, a plethora of parody videos commenting about gay marriage are starting to emerge as they usually do.

It's so ridiculous and at the same time incredibly disheartening. I am a larger than life 'Molicious drag queen and therefore have become accustomed to stares and tactless commentary from random strangers. However, some of the hateful comments I have heard cross the boundaries of simple ignorance or disagreement on family values and has altered into an all out BRAWL. I wrote this comment on an article for the RGJ about the history of marriage and how same sex marriages have existed in cultures around the world. An individual then responded stating that I don't know what I am talking about and that I must be suffering from HIV dementia. I usually have a pretty tough skin but for whatever reason that comment just struck me. The insensitivity of this person's feeling toward an epidemic that has taken millions of lives - straight people, gay people, men, women, of all colors and creeds - is appalling. My hope that soon this will just be another dark chapter in the history of the United States. One that years from now we will look back on with shame for it happening and gratitude that we no longer find ourselves in it. There is a storm that is coming, a cultural backlash is on the horizon, it will just be interesting to see which way the wind blows.

...Because I Generally Dislike Kristen Stewart

... and by generally, I mean extremely ...

I thank my friend Carly for this one. It is an edited video of all of the times that Kristen Stewart demonstrated a stellar conveyance of emotion by sighing, breathing heavily, clicking, or doing any other sort of grunting sounds, in the first Twilight movie. They mashed it all together and the end result is a pretty convincing portrayal of just how bad an actress Kristen Stewart actually is.

I remember that one of the only movies that I liked Kristen Stewart in was Panic Room. After closer analysis, I realized that I enjoyed her performance because she more or less didn't do anything throughout the entire movie. The weight of carrying the movie was left squarely on the shoulders of Jodie Foster.

So, if you also have vile feelings toward Kristen Stewart and question her so called "acting abilities" enjoy the video. If you are a Kristen Stewart fan ... I'm truly sorry .... watch the video anyway ... and come to learn like the rest us that Santa Claus is not in fact real.

Newsies + Lady Gaga = Absolutely Fabulous

I got this from my friend Ben and I absolutely died when I watched it. Someone spliced the dance break scene of Seize the Day from the movie "Newsies" with Bad Romance by Lady Gaga. It is ridiculously crazy how perfectly it all matches up. Hmmm Christian Bale and Lady Gaga is a mash-up of epic proportions.  Enjoy!!!

One of My All Time Favorite Youtube Videos

It's kind of been a slow day today. Had a show last night with THE UTILITY PLAYERS and stepped in to do some improv. I had an absolutely amazing time last night. The audience was incredible and I am always grateful to have the opportunity to perform another day and do another show ... who doesn't enjoy the limelight?

So today I am just taking care of some odd and ends around the house as well as some errands that I have neglected to do - including shipping off my mother's day gift ... which may or may not happen by May 9th ... but if my mother knows anything about me she will not be surprised or disappointed. And, what better thing to do when you have a scary list of tasks staring you in the face ... look up Youtube videos for hours.

While on my search I came across one of my all time favorite Youtube videos. Contrary to popular belief it wasn't a scene from a musical, a stunning performance from American Idol, or a best-of-Cher-video-montage. Instead, my favorite Youtube video is called "The Best of Brenda" a compilation of scenes of Brenda Meeks' funniest scenes from Scary Movie 1 & 2. Brenda Meeks is played by actress Regina Hall - who is credited for roles in First Sunday, Malibu's Most Wanted, and Love and Basketball. Whenever I watch this video I instantly pee my pants. Regina delivers her lines perfectly with this comedic prowess that instantly makes you break out into laughter. I also have drawn a lot of inspiration from Brenda as a drag queen - her ghetto fabulousness is amazing and hilarious.

I remember watching this video repeatedly back in Wisconsin with my gay male friends - which by the way you have not lived until you have seen a flamboyantly gay man do this entire video. Ahh the memories. Procrastinate and put off an important task for the day and watch the video below - it will brighten your day.
